Ultrasound imaging of the kidneys and bladder can be obtained through a pediatric renal ultrasound. This procedure involves using sound waves to create pictures of various organs in your child’s body. The infant undergoing the ultrasound will not feel any sensations related to the sound waves, nor will the average person.

About Our Pediatric Renal Ultrasound

Children under the age of sixteen are included in pediatric imaging. In most cases, any X-ray facility can take X-rays of children. We have a variety of toys available at all of our locations for the enjoyment of young patients waiting for their appointments.

At CareWell Diagnostix, our Australian pediatric sonographer is well-versed in the meticulous nature of these specialty examinations and is committed to providing the time and care necessary to complete them.

What Our Ultrasound Images Can Show?

There are a few other names for renal ultrasound, including ultrasonography and kidney ultrasound. There are zero dangers or adverse effects associated with this noninvasive test. Unlike with an X-ray, your child will not be exposed to radiation during an ultrasound.

If your child’s urinary system is acting up, this test can help narrow down the possible causes. Here are some things that ultrasound imaging can reveal:
